1. Would the pH Miracle diet help those with severe treatment-resistant GERD?
Answer: Absolutely. First, one must understand that the stomach is the primary organ to alkalize the food and liquid ingested NOT digest food or liquid ingested. When we put food or liquid into our mouth the salivary glands begin secreting sodium bicarbonate to raise the pH of the food or liquid while we are masticating. You only have one instrument in the body to breakdown food - that instrument is your teeth. It is very important to liquefy your food and mix the food and liquid in the mouth with the sodium bicarbonate being secreted from the salivary glands. While the mouth begins the alkalizing process of the food while you are masticating the stomach is also producing, in the cover cells of the stomach, sodium bicarbonate to further increase the alkalinity of the food to an ideal pH of 8.4. GERD or Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease is caused when the stomach continues to over-produce the alkalizing compound sodium bicarbonate because of a constant ingestion of highly acidic foods and liquids and from acidic lifestyle choices. As you increase the alkalinity of the body with an alkaline lifestyle and diet you reduce the body’s need for more sodium bicarbonate and the stomach calms down in its production of sodium bicarbonate. When this happens there is less hydrochloric acid produced in the stomach as a waste product of sodium bicarbonate. When the stomach is producing less hydrochloric acid, because of the body’s reduced demand for sodium bicarbonate then the symptoms of GERD or excess stomach acids is reversed. Excess stomach acid, which also causes nausea, is always a sign of the body’s need for more alkalinity or sodium bicarbonate. The stomach’s main purpose is to alkalize the food and liquid ingested and for the buffering of metabolic acids in the blood and tissues. The biochemistry is as follows: NaCl + H2O + CO2 ó NaHCO3 + HCL or salt plus water plus carbon dioxide equals sodium bicarbonate plus hydrochloric acid. Always keep in mind that an upset or sour stomach is caused by excess acid when the body needs more alkalinity in the form of sodium bicarbonate to buffer dietary, metabolic and environmental acids. 2. What is the best approach to determine PH balance with clients!
Answer: The best approach for determining pH balance is by measuring the urine pH, which is a measurement of tissue fluid or the fluids that surround the cells. Urine pH is not a measurement then of blood pH but of tissue pH and the urine is a product of the tissue and not of the blood. The ideal pH of the tissues is 7.2 or greater. Any urine pH below 7.2 indicates tissue acidosis, which may lead to irritation, inflammation, induration, ulceration and finally degeneration if the acid from the tissues is not eliminated through the pores of the skin, the bowels or urination. The client/patient must also measure the saliva pH which is a measurement of the body’s alkaline reserves. When the client/patient has a saliva pH below 7.2 that indicates a low alkaline reserve threshold. When the saliva pH is above 7.2 that indicates adequate reserves for buffer dietary, metabolic and environmental acids produced or encountered throughout the day.
3. How does one create alkaline water? Is this a difficult process?
Answer: The easiest way to create alkaline water or functional structured water is to take purified or distilled water and add 5 drops per liter of potassium hydroxide and/or sodium chlorite at a 5 percent dilution. A more expensive way to alkalize water in the short term is to ionize the water using an electrical process or a water ionizer, sold primarily through website stores. The best water ionizers use 99.9 percent per titanium plates that emit electrical charges, ionizing and creating two types of water - a alkaline water and a acidic water. The water is ionized when passed over 5, 7 or 9 titanium plates creating two types of water. The first type of functionally structured or ionized water created with an electrical ionizer is an alkaline water with a pH range of 7.0 to 11.0, and an oxidative reduction potential (ORP) of -150mV to -450mV. This alkaline functionally structured water is dispensed through one of two spigots. The second type of functionally structured acid water has a pH of 3.5 to 5.5, and an oxidative reduction potential of +150mV to +450mV. This functionally structured acid water is dispensed through the second spigot. The price ranges for electrical ionizers runs from $950 for a three plate system to $3000 for a 9 plate ionizing system. There are none electrical ionizers that pass water through alkaline minerals that create an alkaline water with a pH of 7 to 9.5, and an oxidative reduction potential of -75mV to -250mV. The price on these devices runs from $150 to $700. Finally, there are several commercial companies who manufacture bottled alkaline water with a pH of 8.0 to 9.5. These types of functionally structured alkaline waters are generally filtered and then commercially ionized and sold in many natural food stores around the world.
4. You mentioned that acne will be reduced with the pH Miracle Diet. Are there any specific foods or practices you would recommend to those who suffer from acne?
Answer: When you are alkalizing you are also hyper-perfusing the tissues with alkalinity which buffers dietary and metabolic acids that cause ALL skin problems including acne. The skin is the third kidney and the largest elimination organ. When you alkalizing the blood you alkalize the tissues from excess acidity that causes acne. The most important thing one can do to prevent acne is to hyper-perfuse the tissues with functionally structured alkaline water with a pH of at least 9.5. To hyper-perfuse the tissues with alkalinity you must drink at least 1 liter per 15 kilos of body weight.

An affordable core green powder would the one that contains only grasses, green vegetables and green fruit at a 28 to 1 concentration. Over thirty years ago I invented the first low heat dehydrated green grass, fruit, vegetable and herb powder at a 28 to 1 concentration. It is call SuperGreen. 6. In your lecture you discussed the relationship between chlorophyll and low blood counts. If I were to coach a client with anemia, would you suggest I recommend utilizing a chlorophyll product or supplement?
Answer: The molecular structure of chlorophyll is identical to the main molecule of blood, hemoglobin, except for the center atom. Years of clinical research has shown that the ingestion of 250ml of chlorophyll over a two week period will increase the red blood cell count, hemoglobin count and the hematocrit count by 25 percent. 7. In your lecture you discuss that within the pH diet you can't get enough salt. Many other diets and guidelines propose limiting salt to reduce the risk of high blood pressure and heart disease. How do you validate your salt consumption claims?
Answer: First high blood pressure is caused by too much acid NOT too much salt. All of our body fluids are salted with sodium. The sodium ion is an ion that conducts electricity and is responsible for the transport of electrical energy from cell to cell. Without salt you would die. It is also the main element in the production of sodium bicarbonate. The biochemistry is as follows: NaCl + H2O + CO2 ó NaHCO3 + HCL. Salt also provides the ion of chloride, which is essential in the production of iron. Iron is the center atom of hemoglobin. The nuclear transformation formula for the production of iron in the body is as follows: Cl + O ó Mn + H ó Fe.
8. What are your thoughts on using sodium bicarbonate to alkalize the body?
Answer: Sodium bicarbonate is the number one alkalizing compound produced by the stomach daily to maintain the alkaline design of the blood, tissues and organs. Using elemental sodium bicarbonate without aluminum is the fastest way to restore alkalinity to the alimentary canal, blood, tissues and organs. I recommend drinking 3 grams of sodium bicarbonate mixed in functionally structured water with a pH of 9.5 and an oxidative reduction potential of -250mV first thing in the morning and last thing before going to bed.
9. After listening to the pH diet I'm having a difficult time encouraging animal proteins or other 'acid-based' foods to potential clients. At IIN we learn about bio-individuality and 'no one diet works for everyone.' Are the conditions associated with acidic foods that you mentioned in your lecture true for ALL people?
Answer: The body has no ability to liquefy or alkalize highly acidic foods like animal proteins. In order to produce healthy stem cells and then health blood cells in the crypts of the small intestine food must be in a liquid alkaline state with a pH of 8.4. The acids (nitric, uric, phosphoric, and sulphuric acid) from animal protein are devastating to the delicate intestinal villi and compromising to the alkalinity of the small intestine leading to many inflammatory and degenerative diseases.
10. I tried a green juice diet for 30 days, making all my own natural juices at home with natural ingredients. Although I lost weight, I also began to lose muscle mass so I stopped juicing and returned to my regular diet. I enjoyed juicing and the vibrancy it provided in my life but I don’t want to lose muscle – do you have any suggestions for maintaining muscle while following a green juice diet?
Answer: When going on the pH Miracle diet you will lose acidic weight and unhealthy body cells, including acid bound fat. You will not lose health body cells. Muscles are made from blood and blood is made in the small intestines and healthy blood is made from green foods and green drinks.
